Last week I went to view an auction & left a few bids on several lots as I was not able to attend myself due to horse & stable duties. One of the lots was several boxes of egg cups - I had a brief look & decided to leave a bid. Well, as luck (!) would have it I was the winning bidder & I didn't realise how many there actually were. I unpacked & counted them & there are 270!! Now, I do have hens & they lay a lot of eggs, but I don't think I'd be able to fill that many - I could almost use a different egg cup every day of the year!
So, they will have to go! I sorted them out & picked out the vintage ones & these will be sold via my online shop, at the fairs & the antiques centre. I have added a few to 'Kitchenalia' on my website today, so if you are looking for an egg cup or two please do pop along & take a peek. I will of course be bringing a selection to the Spring Vintage & Handmade Fair on the 26th May as well.
Eggs-cellent!
