Gogogo!

Dylan & I are very excited to watch the second phase of the Olympic equestrian eventing. After the dressage phase yesterday Team GB are starting in 3rd place for the cross country today. Cross country & show jumping are their strengths, so let's hope they move up the ranking.
Dylan will be willing them on & telling them how it should be done....

Which sport is your favourite to watch?

Fleamarket Fun

On Sunday (the first dry Sunday in ages) Mr C & I sent off for the Shepton Mallet Fleamarket. It was huge! I think that the dealers were out in force as we finally had a dry day. It took us hours to walk around ...with a tea & doughnut break of course! My favourite stall was this one where the dealer had a veritable army of push along doggies & other beasties - I have never seen so many together - quite a treat! I did take one home of course...a little mohair doggy, but I did rather fancy the white plastic poodle as well.

The ride on HP sauce bottle ticked our fancy too.

There was so much to see but we only took a few photos.
Christmas in July....

A wagon full of wooden sleighs, carts, skis & much more - I thought a little cart would look rather fetching in the garden.

The crowds of eager shoppers indoors....

I was quite selective in my purchases which included some china & glass as well as a lovely little sewing machine in it's original carry case.

I do hope we keep on having dry Sundays now!

Vintage Jumble - Stalls Available.

It's time for a Big Clear Out again!

After the success of previous events & due to popular demand, we will be holding our next Vintage Jumble on Saturday 25th August. Once again it will be held  at the village hall in Rangeworthy BS37 7LZ (the venue of the first V&H Fair!).

The Jumble will be vintage & not just general household stuff. Prices will be "Cheap & Cheerful" so people can come along & find a bargain & we end up with some empty space at home. Most prices will be under £10.

Opening times will be 10.30am - 2.00pm so no crack of dawn starts!

We have a couple of stalls available so if you'd like to clear out some space please let me know asap if you'd like a stall - they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis at just £20.00.

Delicious tea, coffee & cakes will be served by the Rangeworthy WI.

Tuesday 3 July 2012

It has been a busy month!

Hello dear readers! It has been quite some time since I last wrote but immediately after the V&H Fair in May I was winging my way over to South Africa to help my mum move house. I'm pleased to say that everything went smoothly and it was lovely to spend time with family & friends over there.

The week after I arrived home my sister & family arrived here for a visit & we had a great time together. This was followed by Tamzin's exhibition at New Designers where a lot of fabulous new talent was on show.

The very next day we had the excitement of Tamzin's graduation at the beautiful Wimbourne Minster in Dorset. It was certainly a proud moment to see her being awarded a first class degree - well earned after 3 years of hard work! I must admit to feeling rather teary eyed when the bells pealed out as the graduates left the building.

It was a rainy day but the sun appeared at just the right time!

Finally, on Sunday Devin was suited up for his prom....the boys & girls all looked so very smart in their finery!

This week things should start settling down so hopefully I will be able to spend some time back in Blogland with you all.
