The 1st V&H Textile Fair

Ooh! What's that?
"Vintage & Handmade Textile Fair"?

Follow the bunting to a world of vintage delights!

Yesterday was the launch of our very first Textiles Fair & what a lovely day it was!
After arriving at 7.30 am to set up the tables, all the stallholders from far & wide piled in & we worked on transforming the Old Grammar School Rooms into a veritable delight of Vintage & Handmade treasures.

At 10am sharp I opened the doors to the public & the queue ran all the way from the door, down the alley way & onto the pavement outside!

I am happy to say that it was a very well attended event & thoroughly enjoyed by the stallholders & visitors alike - we received so many wonderful compliments that Michele & I were barely able to squeeze our heads through the kitchen door where we were serving teas. At 4pm when we closed the doors we still had shoppers making last minute purchases!

Anyway, enough rambling - I'm sure you'd rather see for yourself, so compliments of our official photographer (aka Mr Cottage) here are all the photos:

Thanks to all for making it such a success!

  6. Hi Jayne

So glad that yesterday was a success for you. The photos look great, it must have been a wonderful event.
Funny, I never thought I'd know where that little dog went. He is just so sweet! At least I know he's gone to a good home. If you ever get bored with him though...;-)
I didn't see any bloggers there, just some locals whom I know. It was a really fun day.
    Take care

  15. Hi Jayne, It was so nice to see you in the shop this morning and so awful that I was so flustered that I'd even forgotten your name (probably fogotten mine too at that moment if you'd asked!! Though I had a clear image of you at the last V&H fair in my head ... just no words ... is this the shape of things to come I ask myself ...)
I was just a bit flustered since Lidi and I had just started putting stuff out when lots of folk had rushed in with questions ... lovely to see them but before my first coffee of the day I'm not too bright. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I hope you had a lovely time in town and that I'm really looking forward to my table at the November Vintage & Handmade Fair :)
Wish I'd had time to ask about the textile fair too. I hear that it was a success. Well done.
    Have a great summer.
