Miss Cottage is coming home for the Easter holidays today so we have decided to have a jaunt to London on Saturday to see the quilt exhibition at the V&A & to partake in a little shopping & refreshment!

Thing is, my girls don't really like vintage. But funnily enough neither did I back in the day. No beautiful antique handouts from parents thank you, we preferred Habitat! The joke in our family is the 'heirloom' chairs: the two remaining red stained beech folding chairs from a set of six that my new young husband and myself excitedly bought from Habitat at a cost £2.19.6 each in 1973. The stunning, and now lamented, 19th century table seating 14 and complementary period chairs that we rejected, among many other treasures, went to oblivion. LOVE VINTAGE!
ReplyDeleteOo-er - you should have seen the security word I had to type in. Does Blogger read our stuff? It closely resembled a comment that I would have made regarding my younger self and my rejection of beautiful antiques.
