Holiday Souvenir Giveaway

I have been meaning to do this ever since I returned from holiday but as you all know, time can run away with you!

While I was on holiday I was on the look out for the most retro-kitsch souvenir I could find to bring back for a giveaway & what could be better than a set of embroidered tea towels??
My family & newly made holiday friends were in hysterics, but I persevered for the sake of all you bloggers out there!

So, if you'd like your very own set of Portuguese tea towels do leave a comment & it would be fun to know what the most kitsch souvenir you have bought or have been given is!

I'll keep this open until Sunday evening.

  1. Where do I start....? A "snowstorm" from Ireland: it contains a leprocaun drinking Guiness and when you shake it: it has green snow!!!!!:O)

And then: The "snowglobe/snowstorm" brought back from Egypt: It's a pyramid and when you shake it, it "snows" golden coloured "sand".....

When anyone asks "What can I bring you back?" I always ask for a snowstorm/snowglobe with the proviso that it must be "so bad, it's G.O.O.D!".

  4. My most recent kitsch souvenir gift would be a moose head keychain! Well, not life-sized, but this moose head is as big as my hand! A souvenir from Finland or Norway, I absolutely cannot remember.

Would LOVE to win these tea towels! They could come in handy! Thanks for the opportunity.

  5. I really think the tea towels are lovely and I would love to enter your giveaway.
I have to say that the most kitsch souvenir I ever bought were a pair of castanholas in Malaga. (They are those wooden things that the female dancers play in their hands). I have to admit that I have no idea how to play those things! lol

  8. Hi Jayne,
What a lovely giveaway! Those tea towels would be perfect in my red kitchen! ;-))
Years ago (during the 70's) we had very affluent neighbours who were always jetting off to Europe. They were very generous with their gifts that they would bring back for us though...I had several plastic Spanish dolls dressed in layers of black lace, plastic castanets, and also those very 70's pictures of google-eyed children dressed in national costumes...aghhh...you can't beat the 70's for kitsch!!
    Have a lovely weekend Jayne,
