Etsy
This week I have taken the plunge & have opened an Etsy shop! This will be a mixture of handmade goodies & vintage items too. I'm pleased to say that I have had a number of sales already & would be delighted if you'd take a peek & let me know what you think.
I'm new to this so any hints & tips from experienced Etsy sellers would be gratefully received!
You can find my shop HERE

Well Done You! I've just been to have a look and your photos are lovely and clear! I keep thinking about opening an Etsy shop but then I put it off! I have just got around to popping some hand knitted brooches into my little blogshop though!

I love Etsy!
ReplyDeleteI can't give you any tips about selling though..as I have only bought from there!
Hope you find it successful
;-)
How exciting for you! You will have to tell me what it's like, having an etsy shop. (I have thought about it.) I had a little look around. Those old school posters are pretty cool! I think I have a toffee tine like that... I used to keep treasures in it when I was a little girl. I still have it somewhere...
ReplyDeleteGood luck on Etsy,it looks great! Lizzie x

ReplyDeleteWell you got me, I have just purchased your Noddy and Big Ears aprons for my American cousins who grew up with Noddy and love him but of course cannot get too much in the way of items over there. Good luck with the shop -Etsy is a great selling community.

ReplyDeleteHi Jane
ReplyDeleteWell done, I have set up an account also but haven't yet ventured any further, do you think that etsy is better than the other E online selling system? I havn't used that one since I started blogging, I seem to have gone off it.
Your pictures look really good, hopefully it will keep you busy.
Tracey

Good Luck with the Etsy shop! Lovely items. Really enjoying your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely things you have in your shop! Like a lot of bloggers, I have an account but not got any further (mainly because I don't have a credit card I can register!). I hope you continue to do well :o) (PS I found your blog via 23BeechHill)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the shop - I'm sure you'll do well!
ReplyDeleteMy top tip is to keep listing regularly, as the search results show the most recent stuff first. I find I mainly sell to the States. I wish it was more UK friendly, but I think it's getting better.
Oh I just love your cute little pincushions - a girl can never have too many pinchsuions at the ready, great for hat pins too ! Best of luck with your shop - I had some little girls dresses on there about a year ago, but I think they were priced too high to sell well (although they were priced according to time and resources spent !). My only tip would be to have plenty of inexpensive bits and pieces to sell as well as a few more substantial items as well. Cheers from one vintage lover to another !! XX
